📦 Installation

To install TikTok Feed Pro, log in to your Joomla Administrator and go to System > Install > Extensions. Upload and install the tiktokfeedpro-package.zip package.

Important: Make sure you install the TikTok Feed Pro installation package located inside the main archive downloaded from AllForJoomla, not the main downloaded archive itself.

TikTok Feed Pro also uses the System - TikTok Feed Pro plugin.

After installation, go to System > Manage > Plugins, find System - TikTok Feed Pro and make sure the plugin is enabled.

🔑 License Activation

TikTok Feed Pro requires a valid license key to work. Each purchased license has its own License Key, which you can find in your AllForJoomla account.

  1. Open Components > TikTok Feed Pro > Options.
  2. Open your AllForJoomla Orders page and find your TikTok Feed Pro license.
  3. Copy its License Key.
  4. Paste the key into the Premium License key field.
  5. Save the settings.
Note: The License Key activates TikTok Feed Pro on your website and is required for the extension to work.

🧩 Create a Widget

Widget creation and management is performed in Components > TikTok Feed Pro.

Create a new widget or open an existing one to use the integrated visual builder. The builder allows you to configure the widget and see an instant preview while changing its settings.

Main Settings

Use the MAIN tab to select the TikTok account, filter its content and configure the general appearance of the widget.

In the Source section, enter the TikTok Account URL or @name and click SET.

No TikTok API key is required. You do not need to create a TikTok developer application, obtain your own API credentials or manually configure the TikTok API.

Filter TikTok Posts

Use Include posts to display posts matching specified keywords. Use Exclude posts to prevent posts matching specified keywords from appearing in the widget.

Data Refresh

Use Data refresh rate to choose how frequently TikTok Feed Pro should refresh data for the selected TikTok account.

Widget Appearance

Use the display settings to configure the Background color, choose a light or dark Color scheme, and set the widget Width and Height.

Header Settings

Use the HEADER tab to configure the TikTok account information displayed above the video gallery.

The available settings allow you to:

  • show or hide the account header
  • choose the header layout
  • show or hide the account picture
  • choose the account picture shape
  • show or hide the account username
  • show or hide the account name
  • show or hide the account description
  • show or hide account statistics

Disable Show header if you want to display the TikTok video gallery without the account information above it.

Videos Settings

Use the VIDEOS tab to configure the video gallery layout and how additional videos are loaded.

The available settings allow you to:

  • show or hide the video gallery
  • show or hide the Load more option
  • set the number of items displayed per page
  • set the number of gallery columns
  • set the spacing between videos

Responsive Breakpoints

TikTok Feed Pro supports custom responsive breakpoints. Each breakpoint allows you to define how many video columns should be displayed at a specific screen width.

Set Max. width to define the breakpoint and Columns to define how many columns should be displayed at that width.

Click + add to create another responsive breakpoint.

This allows you to configure different video gallery layouts for desktop, tablet and mobile screen sizes.

Video Settings

Use the VIDEO tab to control the information displayed with each TikTok video and how the video is opened.

The available settings allow you to:

  • show or hide the author picture
  • choose the author picture shape
  • show or hide the author name
  • show or hide the publication date
  • show or hide the link to TikTok
  • show or hide the video description
  • show or hide the video duration
  • show or hide video statistics
  • enable or disable popup video playback

Popup Video Playback

Enable Play in popup if you want visitors to open TikTok videos over the current page instead of navigating away from the video gallery.

GDPR-Friendly Media Loading

TikTok Feed Pro supports GDPR-Friendly Media Loading (GDPR-FML). When enabled, media used by the widget is downloaded and served from your own Joomla website instead of being loaded directly from third-party media servers in visitors' browsers.

To enable it, open Components > TikTok Feed Pro > Options, open the Advanced settings, find Media Display Mode and select GDPR-Friendly Media Loading.

Important for GDPR-friendly use: GDPR-Friendly Media Loading does not apply to TikTok videos themselves. To avoid loading TikTok videos directly from TikTok servers in visitors' browsers, also disable Play in popup in the VIDEO settings.

With GDPR-FML enabled, supported non-video media is served from your own Joomla website. TikTok videos are still loaded from TikTok servers when they are played in the popup, which is why Play in popup should be disabled for a GDPR-friendly configuration.

This helps reduce direct connections between your website visitors and third-party media servers. Learn more about GDPR-Friendly Media Loading .

When you finish configuring the widget, click Save. The widget will appear in the widgets list together with its shortcode.

🔗 Shortcode

Go to Components > TikTok Feed Pro to see the list of your existing widgets. Each widget has its own shortcode in the Shortcode column.

Copy the shortcode of the widget you want to display and paste it where you want the TikTok feed to appear.

You can place the shortcode in:

  • a Joomla article
  • a Custom HTML module
  • a Joomla template file

🌐 Translation

TikTok Feed Pro can be translated using standard Joomla language files. You can change individual labels using Joomla Language Overrides or create a complete translation of the extension.

Quick Translation with Language Overrides

Use Joomla Language Overrides when you only need to translate or change specific labels displayed by TikTok Feed Pro.

The language constants used by the widget include:

  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_VIEWS
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_FOLLOWING
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_SUBSCRIBERS
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_LIKES
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_SHOW_MORE
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_LOAD_MORE
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_AJAX_ERROR
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_VIDEO_DATE_FORMAT
  • COM_TIKTOKFEEDPRO_NO_VIDEOS_FOUND

To create a language override:

  1. Go to System > Manage > Language Overrides.
  2. Select your website language and the Administrator location.
  3. Click New.
  4. Copy the required constant from the list above and paste it into the Language Constant field.
  5. Enter your translation into the Text field.
  6. Enable For Both Locations so the override is also available on the frontend.
  7. Save the override.

Repeat these steps for each language constant that you want to override.

Full Extension Translation

Use a full extension translation when you want to translate all TikTok Feed Pro language strings instead of overriding only selected labels.

TikTok Feed Pro language files are stored in the Joomla Administrator language directory. Use the English files as the source for your translation:

  • en-GB.com_tiktokfeedpro.ini
  • en-GB.com_tiktokfeedpro.sys.ini

For example, to create an Italian translation, copy the English files, rename them for the target language and place them in /administrator/language/it-IT/:

  • it-IT.com_tiktokfeedpro.ini
  • it-IT.com_tiktokfeedpro.sys.ini

To create a full translation:

  1. Copy en-GB.com_tiktokfeedpro.ini and en-GB.com_tiktokfeedpro.sys.ini from /administrator/language/en-GB/.
  2. Rename the files using the target Joomla language tag. For example, for Italian use it-IT.com_tiktokfeedpro.ini and it-IT.com_tiktokfeedpro.sys.ini.
  3. Translate the text values inside the files without changing the language constant names.
  4. Place the translated files in the corresponding Joomla language directory, for example /administrator/language/it-IT/.
